14 of 16 on an academy match. It was me and one other blueberry with 1650 and 1525 respectively, nobody else broke 600. |

you found a single wolf. there is always more than one. in all likelihood, that one did not kill your mother, and considering your inability to shoot, it was a good thing you weren't there, you would have died.
If you see a monster, don't hesitate. If it is causing harm to the innocent, then it must be killed for the good of all.
Take solace in the fact that killing that single wolf would have accomplished very little, if anything. She was basically doomed when the two of you left her, alone in the mountains, with wolves about. It was practically daring them to attack.
Basically, don't blame yourself, you were following your father's misguided orders. And if she was anything like my mother, several of the bastards died from their wounds afterwards(lady could fillet a man twice before he hit the ground). |

I like using a bow and arrow. I started at a young age, really helps with figuring the distances involved with the various arc weapons.

the fact that it describes a major abnormality is something to consider. assuming that they act like other pack animals, being alone means that it is pretty much either dying, or rabid as hell.
so I'll amend: if the wolf is even remotely healthy, there is always more than one.
